KANAZAWA, Japan - A wooden boat that may have come from North Korea was found capsized and drifting in the Sea of Japan off Ishikawa Prefecture, a local coast guard office said Wednesday.
A patrol vessel received a report and found the boat off Shika in the prefecture at around 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday. The boat, about 12 meters in length, had a coal tar-like coating on its underside and letters and numbers resembling Hangul on its hull.
