NARA, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung agreed Tuesday to promote bilateral economic security cooperation, as Japan faces fresh Chinese export controls on key items believed to include rare earths.
At a joint press conference after their talks in Nara in western Japan, the capital of her home prefecture, Takaichi also said she and Lee confirmed that they would continue making reciprocal visits at the summit level, in fresh evidence of a continued thaw in bilateral ties.
