TOKYO - Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi will hold a press conference on Monday afternoon, her office said Friday, most likely about her decision to dissolve the House of Representatives and hold an election.
Earlier this week, Takaichi told her ruling Liberal Democratic Party and its coalition ally, the Japan Innovation Party, of her plan to dissolve the lower house soon after the regular Diet session convenes on Jan. 23.
