TOKYO - Reigning men's snowboarding halfpipe gold medalist Ayumu Hirano made the Milan-Cortina Olympics on Tuesday as the Ski Association of Japan announced its 52 members for skiing and snowboarding disciplines.
There was concern over Hirano's place in northern Italy next month after the 27-year-old suffered a heavy crash on Saturday in Laax, Switzerland, during the last World Cup event before the Winter Games.
