TOKYO - Sony Group Corp. on Thursday raised its net profit forecast for the year through March to 1.13 trillion yen ($7.2 billion), up from 1.05 trillion yen previously forecast, driven by its music and entertainment sector.
The Japanese electronics and entertainment giant's net profit is expected to surpass the 1 trillion yen threshold for the second straight year after hitting a record high in fiscal 2024.
