CORTINA D'AMPEZZO, Italy - After years working to reach curling's biggest stage, Japan skip Sayaka Yoshimura opened her Olympic account with two disappointing losses on Thursday at the Milan Cortina Winter Games.
Japan fell 8-4 to powerhouse Sweden in the opening match at the Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium, and then 10-7 in an extra end to Denmark.
