TOKYO - Japan's 10-time Olympic speed skating medalist Miho Takagi, the most decorated female Olympian in the country's history, said Wednesday she will retire after the upcoming world championships in the Netherlands.
Takagi will end her career as Japan's most successful Olympic speed skater, ranking second worldwide behind the Netherlands's Ireen Wust in total Olympic speed skating medals won by a woman.
