BEIJING - A passenger train service linking China and North Korea resumed Thursday in both directions after a six-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reviving cross-border exchanges between the two countries.

A train bound for Pyongyang departed Beijing Railway Station on Thursday afternoon, with another leaving the North Korean city for Beijing earlier in the day. The service linking the two capitals operates four times a week -- every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
