TOKYO - A Japanese pop-up shop dedicated to Mexico's iconic, lab-coated cartoon mascot Dr. Simi opened on Monday, offering plushies and other merchandise featuring the character, known for his bushy white moustache and viral dance moves on social media.
The three-floor shop, located in Tokyo and open through May 10, boasts a life-size figure of Dr. Simi dressed as a sushi chef with Mexican papercraft banners and Japanese bonsai decorating each space.
