LOS ANGELES - Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched 7-2/3 innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts as the Los Angeles Dodgers edged the New York Mets 2-1 on Tuesday.
Yamamoto gave up a leadoff home run to Francisco Lindor, who went deep to right to start the game at Dodger Stadium. But he soon regained his composure and escaped a jam in the seventh with two runners on and two outs.
