TOKYO - Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on Friday began a five-day trip to Vietnam and Australia for bilateral summit talks, as Japan seeks to boost economic security cooperation amid uncertainty over Middle East tensions disrupting global energy transportation.
Japan also aims to step up security and economic ties with the regional partners, government officials said, as China has been increasing its clout in the Indo-Pacific region.
