Trump says he will discuss U.S. arms sales to Taiwan with China's Xi

WASHINGTON - U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that he and Chinese President Xi Jinping will discuss U.S. arms sales to Taiwan when they meet for talks in Beijing this week.

Asked during an event at the White House whether the United States should be selling weapons to the self-ruled island, Trump said, "I'm going to have that discussion with President Xi."
