TOKYO - Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Monday affirmed their continued cooperation amid increasing geopolitical uncertainty.
With the international community facing challenges including from the Middle East crisis and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the visit by Guterres comes amid doubts over his organization's ability in its current form to respond to threats to the rules-based order.
