"Sonic the Hedgehog Exclusive Shop & Fair” Starts June 6! ~The First Installment of the Sega x animate Global Cross-Border Project~

As the first installment of a year-long collaboration project between Animate Co., Ltd. and SEGA Corporation featuring SEGA Group IPs, we are hosting the “Sonic the Hedgehog” ONLY SHOP(Exclusive Shop), Fair and Gratte.

We will create opportunities for fans to experience the appeal of eight globally popular IPs owned by Sega and its group companies firsthand through exhibitions, game demos, merchandise sales, and Cafe Gratte collaborations at over 140 animate stores in Japan and overseas.

For the first title in the series, "Sonic the Hedgehog," we will host dedicated shops and fairs featuring exhibits related to the series at overseas locations, while locations in Japan will host fairs and "Gratte" events. At the fairs, customers who purchase related merchandise will receive a special postcard. Additionally, at participating "Gratte" locations, customers can purchase "Graphic Lattes"—drinks topped with cream featuring printed characters—and "Icing Cookies."

We will continue to hold collaborations with various titles in the future, so please stay tuned for further updates.

During the event period, for every 1,100 yen (tax included) spent on pre-orders or purchases of "Sonic the Hedgehog" merchandise, for every book, audio, or visual product purchased or pre-ordered (minimum pre-order deposit of 1,100 yen (tax included) required), and for every food or beverage item purchased or pre-ordered at Gratte (full payment required), you will receive one postcard.

About the "Sonic the Hedgehog" Series

2026 marks the anniversary of SEGA's favorite blue mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog.

The series first began in 1991 with the classic video game, Sonic the Hedgehog, which went on to pave the way for countless sequels and spinoffs. Altogether, the franchise has surpassed 1.77 billion units in sales and free-to-play downloads. Sonic has since grown into a multimedia sensation, spanning blockbuster films, animated shows, music, and merch.
