SAITAMA, Japan - A man was arrested Monday for allegedly posting a video online of him touching the spout of a shared soy sauce bottle at a sushi restaurant operated by Hama-sushi Co. and obstructing its business, police said.

The arrest came soon after Yuta Shinnishi, the 43-year-old unemployed resident of Saitama Prefecture near Tokyo, was fined 500,000 yen ($3,000) for similar nuisance behavior at another Hama-sushi restaurant in the prefecture.

In the latest case, Shinnishi allegedly touched a soy sauce bottle's spout at a restaurant in Saitama on June 28 and posted video footage of the scene on social media. It caused the conveyer belt sushi restaurant chain operator to receive complaints.

He was quoted by police as saying, "I wanted the video to get me more views." But he partially denied the allegation, saying he did not know whether his fingers touched the bottle, they said.

The operator said it found the video posted on the suspect's social media account on June 29 and consulted with police.

All soy sauce bottles at the store were replaced, a spokesperson said, adding, "We feel deeply upset that an incident like this occurred again in such a short period of time."

Shinnishi was arrested on June 2 for pouring a liquid from a detergent bottle onto a plate of sushi at a Hama-sushi restaurant and a summary court ordered him to pay the fine on June 23.
