BEIJING - A new bridge linking China and North Korea will open on Thursday, China's official Xinhua News Agency said, 12 years after its completion amid warming ties between Beijing and Pyongyang.
The New Yalu River Bridge, finished in 2014, connects the border cities of Dandong in northeastern China and Sinuiju on the North Korean side. The two countries, which marked the 77th anniversary of diplomatic ties last week, will hold a ceremony to mark its opening, the news agency said Wednesday.
