The Kasumigaseki Building, known as the first skyscraper in Japan, held a lighting-up ceremony Wednesday in Tokyo marking the 50th anniversary of its completion, operator Mitsui Fudosan Co. said.The 36-story office building with a height of 147 meters was completed on April 12, 1968, in Kasumigaseki -- home to a number of government ministries -- in the wake of deregulation on buildings' heights in the 1960s.
