Yu Darvish of the San Diego Padres will play an advisory role at Japan's training camp ahead of the World Baseball Classic, a source close to the matter said Wednesday.Manager Hirokazu Ibata has requested the veteran right-hander, who is rehabilitating from elbow surgery he underwent in October, spend time working with his countrymen during the camp starting on Feb. 14 in Miyazaki Prefecture in southwestern Japan.
