IOC chief says Tokyo Olympics flame to be lit on March 11, 2020

The Olympic flame lighting ceremony for the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo will take place on March 11 of that year, the ninth anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated a large part of northeastern Japan, International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach said Saturday."I think this is a wonderful idea," Bach said in an interview with Kyodo News in Jakarta.
