Hajime Kashimo is a sorcerer who lived 400 years ago. He possesses tremendous power and loves to fight strong opponents—essentially a battle-crazed character. He made a contract with Kenjaku and was resurrected in modern times specifically to fight Sukuna, history's strongest sorcerer.
A Solitary Battle Maniac
Kashimo participates in the Culling Game to earn the right to face Sukuna, racking up points along the way. This combat enthusiast actively challenges other players he encounters, defeating Panda within the colony and engaging in an epic battle with Hakari Kinji, another player on the Jujutsu High side.
He makes a deal with the Jujutsu High faction to fight Sukuna, choosing to fight alongside Yuji and the others. He's a popular character thanks to his refreshing personality and overwhelming strength.
Cursed Technique: Mythical Beast Amber
First, his cursed energy has electrical properties, which he channels through his body and weapons to attack. Using precise cursed energy manipulation and these electrical properties, he can unleash sure-hit lightning attacks and enhance his hand-to-hand combat, making him specialized for battle.
Kashimo typically fights without using his technique, and there's a reason for this. His innate technique, Mythical Beast Amber, uses cursed energy (electricity) to alter his body's structure. By activating the electrical signals sent from his brain, he can enhance his physical abilities and emit electromagnetic waves, demonstrating superhuman power.
However, once the technique ends, his body cannot return to normal and simply collapses. This technique is his trump card, saved specifically for his fight with Sukuna.
His Actions in the Culling Game [Spoilers For Final Chapter]
After his intense battles with Panda and Hakari, Kashimo forms a cooperative relationship with Jujutsu High. When the battle between Sukuna and Gojo ends, he's the first to leap forward and confront Sukuna. This absolute powerhouse poses a question to Sukuna: about the solitude that comes with strength.
Until now, Kashimo has been isolated due to his strength, unable to truly connect with anyone. He asks Sukuna, a fellow strong individual, whether the strong are destined to be alone, existing only to continue fighting. Sukuna responds with "How greedy of you," then demonstrates the answer through their battle.
Activating Mythical Beast Amber, Kashimo fights Sukuna. He manages to restore Sukuna to his original form and puts up a good fight, but proves powerless before the strongest in history. His body is sliced apart by Sukuna's slashes, and he dies. Afterward, in the spiritual realm, Sukuna answers his question: Simply by being strong, they become objects of admiration and hatred, challenged to battle by others. They fight and defeat those challengers in response.
Sukuna reveals that the very lives they've lived, constantly fighting this way, represent their connection with others through love—this itself is compassion.
