BEIJING/SEOUL - North Korea has accused South Korea of flying a reconnaissance drone into its airspace last weekend, its state-run media said Saturday, while Seoul immediately denied possessing the aircraft in question.
The General Staff of the North Korean army claimed in a statement Friday that South Korea had committed a "grave infringement upon the sovereignty" of the North through the airspace violation by the drone, while warning that Seoul "can never evade the responsibility for escalating tensions" and will be "forced to pay a dear price," the official Korean Central News Agency said.
