BEIJING - North Korea has hailed South Korea's pledge to prevent the recurrence of drone incursions into its airspace and said Pyongyang will heighten vigilance along the border with the South, its state-run media said Thursday.
Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister and close aide of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, "highly appreciated" official acknowledgement of the drone incursions by South Korean Unification Minister Chung Dong Yong, who expressed "regret" over the incidents, the official Korean Central News Agency said.
