TOKYO - The White House has posted a video that appears to use footage from a popular Nintendo Co. sports simulation video game to tout the results of U.S. strikes on Iran, sparking online fury over the inappropriate imagery amid the high casualties in the ongoing conflict.
In a mash-up posted on X on Thursday, Wii Sports characters are shown engaging in sports including golf, tennis, boxing and bowling along with real-life footage of the bombing of Iranian military sites, with one scene flashing the words "Hole in one."
