TOKYO - Stricter power bank rules for flights took effect on Friday in Japan, allowing each passenger to carry onboard no more than two and banning them from being used and charged during flights to reduce fire risk.
The new regulations also ban power banks with a capacity exceeding 160 watt-hours, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
