TOKYO - Newly promoted sekiwake Atamifuji on Monday expressed his determination to continue climbing the rankings at next month's Summer Grand Sumo Tournament.
The 23-year-old from central Japan's Shizuoka Prefecture has moved up to sumo's third-highest rank one meet after his debut at komusubi, the lowest of the three distinguished "sanyaku" ranks below yokozuna.
