LOS ANGELES - Roki Sasaki pitched six innings of two-run ball as the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 5-4 on Thursday.
Sasaki did not factor in the decision after allowing two runs on four hits and five walks, while striking out two at Dodger Stadium.
Max Muncy's three-run homer put Los Angeles ahead in the sixth, but Dodgers reliever Edwin Diaz (2-2) surrendered three runs in the ninth inning and took the loss.
Sasaki's teammate, Japanese slugger Shohei Ohtani, doubled to center in his first at-bat and went 1-for-4.
In other Major League Baseball action, Masataka Yoshida collected two hits and drove in a run as the Boston Red Sox routed the Toronto Blue Jays 7-0, snapping a five-game losing streak.
Batting fifth as a designated hitter, Yoshida went 2-for-3 with two singles to center, a sacrifice fly and an RBI at Rogers Centre.
