DENVER - Roki Sasaki threw two-run ball over five innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 6-4 in extra innings on Wednesday.

Sasaki did not factor in the decision, after allowing seven hits and a walk, while striking out six at Coors Field.

Dodgers slugger Shohei Ohtani, who recorded 30 home runs for the sixth straight season the previous day, went hitless with a walk.

In other Major League Baseball action, Kodai Senga picked up his fourth save of the season, although he surrendered one run on two hits in the ninth in the New York Mets' 4-2 win over the San Diego Padres.

Elsewhere, Kazuma Okamoto hit a run-scoring single as the Toronto Blue Jays were edged by the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6.

The Japanese slugger singled in the fifth to extend his hitting streak to five games to finish 1-for-3 with an RBI at Tropicana Field.

Meanwhile, the Boston Red Sox said Masataka Yoshida, who has been placed on the injured list with a left hamstring strain, may miss the rest of the regular season.
