Bessent says he told Kato that Japan should stop importing Russian energy

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Wednesday he told Japanese Finance Minister Katsunobu Kato that Washington expects Japan to stop importing Russian energy.Bessent and Kato held a meeting in Washington on the sidelines of this year's autumn meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.Bessent also said on social media that the two discussed "important issues pertaining to the U.S.-Japan economic relationship."READ FULL ARTICLE
