EV-related complaints, petitions rise 1.8-fold over 3 yrs in S. Korea

SEOUL - Electric vehicle (EV)-related complaints filed with the government have nearly doubled over the past three years, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission said Tuesday.About 173,000 EV-related complaints and petitions were filed with the government's online petition portal and local governments between August 2023 and July this year, with the average monthly complaints rising 1.8-fold to 6,578 cases from 3,683 in 2023, according to the commission.The commission has issued a "complaints advisory," a warning system triggered when petitions in a specific sector rise sharply.
