TORONTO - New Japanese signing Kazuma Okamoto said Tuesday he was excited at the prospect of helping 2025 World Series runners-up the Toronto Blue Jays get over the hurdle and become champions of Major League Baseball again.
The Blue Jays officially introduced the 29-year-old slugger at Toronto's Rogers Centre, where the American League champions lost a decisive World Series Game 7 two months ago to a Los Angeles Dodgers side featuring Okamoto's Samurai Japan teammates Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki.
