ISTANBUL - Turkish-made drones could serve as a form of "deterrence" for Japan because their long endurance allows sustained surveillance and cost-effective operations, Defense Minister Yasar Guler said.
While expressing hope that Japan would move ahead with considering the acquisition of Turkish drones, Guler stressed in a recent written interview with Kyodo News that they are based on real combat experience, making them "highly reliable and flexible systems."
