TOKYO - A company jointly established by five firms, including Chinese automaker Chery Automobile Co. and Japanese car parts retailer Autobacs Seven Co., said Wednesday it will launch a new automobile brand, EMTA, with plans to introduce an electric mini-vehicle model in Japan next year.
The joint company, EMT Co., said it plans to introduce three more models by 2029.
