A hybrid car battery subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corp. is considering manufacturing batteries for electric vehicles at its factory in China amid the rapid spread of EVs in the country, sources familiar with the matter said Tuesday.Prime Planet Energy & Solutions, Inc. currently operates three buildings at its Dalian factory to produce batteries for hybrid vehicles and plug-in hybrids.
