CORTINA D'AMPEZZO, Italy - Alpine sit skier Momoka Muraoka's 11th career Paralympic medal at this year's Milan Cortina games has made her Japan's most decorated winter Paralympian, a new high in an already stellar career.

Muraoka, 29, won her record-setting silver medal in the women's giant slalom sitting on Thursday, her favorite event. With the result, she exceeded Japanese Para alpine skiing legend Kuniko Obinata's total of 10 medals, won from 1998 to 2010 in sit skiing categories.
